Blue Riders Cruises — Premium Sea Tours in Greece

Blue Riders Cruises is a boat-tour operator based in Athens, running private and shared cruises across the most sought-after Greek destinations — Santorini, Aegina, Poros, Hydra and the wider Cyclades. They came to us because their existing presence was not doing justice to the experience: a fragmented booking flow, scattered destination information, and a site that looked generic in a market where travelers choose based on trust and clarity. Our job was to rebuild their digital storefront around the trip itself, so visitors from Athens, Europe and beyond could move from inspiration to enquiry without friction.

We designed and developed a custom WordPress site with a clean, maritime-inspired visual system: deep blues, crisp whites, and photography-led layouts that put the Aegean first. The architecture is built around cruises, not corporate pages. Each route — day cruise, sunset cruise, private charter — has its own detailed landing section with itinerary highlights, duration, capacity, pricing cues and a clear call-to-action. We also built a destination gallery that connects each location to the relevant packages, which helps both users and search engines understand the relationship between, for example, an Athens-based departure and a full-day Saronic Gulf island hop.

On the technical side, we implemented a mobile-first responsive build, lazy-loaded image galleries, and a lightweight enquiry form integrated with the operator’s booking pipeline. Page speed and Core Web Vitals were priorities from the start, because most travelers research boat tours in Athens and the Greek islands on mobile, often on slower hotel Wi-Fi or roaming connections. We also handled on-page SEO structure — schema markup for tours, localized meta content, and internal linking between destinations and cruise types — so that searches like “private boat tour Athens,” “Santorini sunset cruise,” or “day cruise to Hydra and Poros” lead to relevant, specific pages rather than a generic homepage.

The result is a site that functions as both a brochure and a booking funnel. Blue Riders Cruises now has a platform that reflects the quality of its fleet and crew, ranks more naturally for location-based travel searches, and converts browsers into confirmed enquiries. For a hospitality business operating out of Athens and sailing across Greece, that combination of clarity, speed and local relevance is what turns a one-time visitor into a booked passenger.
