Sailawave — Nafplio Cruises & Catamaran Boat Tours
A bilingual booking website for a Nafplio-based catamaran cruise operator, built to drive direct reservations and showcase shared and private sailing experiences.
Sailawave runs daily and private catamaran cruises across the Argolic Gulf, setting sail from the historic harbour of Nafplio old town. Their itineraries reach some of the most photographed spots on the Peloponnese coast — the Bourtzi fortress rising from the water, the uninhabited islet of Romvi, and a string of hidden coves that are only accessible from the sea. The business needed a digital presence that could do more than look good: it had to turn interest into confirmed bookings, explain the difference between shared and private sailing experiences, and work equally well for Greek-speaking weekend visitors and international travellers planning a Nafplio sailing holiday.
We designed and developed a bilingual website in Greek and English, built on WordPress with a custom theme so the Sailawave team could update cruise schedules, pricing, and travel notes without touching code. The information architecture centres on two clear paths — shared daily cruises and tailor-made private charters — because the booking intent behind those two audiences is completely different. Each cruise has its own detailed trip page with transparent pricing, duration, route map, onboard amenities, and direct calls-to-action that push visitors toward reservation or enquiry. The design language mirrors the brand’s calm-yet-adventurous tone: open white space, sea-toned accents, full-bleed photography of the Argolic Gulf, and typography that feels relaxed but confident.
On the technical side, the site is fully responsive, fast-loading, and optimised for mobile bookings, since most travellers researching things to do in Nafplio browse from their phones while already in the Peloponnese or on the road from Athens. We built a tailor-made cruise flow that lets visitors describe their group size, preferred dates, catering requests, and special occasions, then routes that enquiry directly to the Sailawave operations team. We also integrated a travel notes section for seasonal content, route guides, and practical tips about sailing from Nafplio, which supports long-tail SEO around terms like “catamaran cruise Nafplio,” “private boat trip Argolic Gulf,” and “best day trips from Nafplio.”
The result is a site that functions as both a brochure and a booking engine. Since launch, Sailawave has been able to reduce back-and-forth enquiries by answering the questions that matter most upfront, while the private charter flow has become a consistent source of qualified leads for weddings, corporate outings, and family celebrations on the water. For a tourism business rooted in a specific Greek destination, the project shows how clear structure, local search relevance, and a frictionless path to booking can turn a beautiful sailing product into a measurable growth channel.
