Pharmaceutical Association of Aitoloakarnania — Member Portal & Website

The Φαρμακευτικός Σύλλογος Αιτωλοακαρνανίας (Pharmaceutical Association of Aitoloakarnania) is the professional body representing pharmacists across the Aitoloakarnania region of western Greece. Headquartered in Μεσολόγγι (Messolonghi), the Association serves its members by publishing announcements, sharing circulars and board decisions, distributing legislation, and providing the forms and registry information pharmacists need for their daily practice. With a diverse audience of members, public-sector partners, and citizens, the Association needed a digital presence that could keep large volumes of documents organised, searchable, and always current.

We designed and built a clean, authoritative website that puts information architecture first. The homepage opens with the Association’s mission — “Στην υπηρεσία των φαρμακοποιών και των πολιτών” — and immediately directs visitors to the areas that matter most: announcements, legislation, application forms, registry requirements, useful links, and contact details. A prominent search function lets users look up announcements, circulars, and documents without digging through nested menus, while structured content categories make browsing just as fast.

Behind the public face, the site supports the Association’s ongoing operational work. Members can find pinned announcements, board and general-assembly decisions, pharmacy fund details, service phone directories, and quick links to national bodies such as the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association (P.F.S.), the National Organisation for Medicines (E.O.F.), E.O.P.Y.Y., and the Ministry of Health. Application forms — including certificates, general applications, responsible declarations under Law 1599, and temporary pharmacy closure requests — are published as downloadable documents, giving pharmacists in Aitoloakarnania direct access to the paperwork they need.

The project was developed with a responsive layout and a content management approach that lets the Association’s team in Messolonghi publish updates, pin urgent notices, and expand the document library without technical support. By replacing scattered documents and manual communication with a single, searchable hub, the new site helps the Pharmaceutical Association of Aitoloakarnania stay transparent, accessible, and useful to every pharmacist it represents.
